MEDIA RELEASE - Wavcor’s New Manhole Aeration Reduces Capital Costs of Grain Conditioning

Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada – March 14, 2025  -  Finally there is an easy way to add aeration to grain bins!  Wavcor International, a Saskatoon, Saskatchewan manufacturer of innovative grain drying and aeration products, is excited to announce the launch of its innovative Manhole Aeration system.  This groundbreaking design introduces an easy and cost-effective way to add aeration to any hopper bottom grain bin.  In just a few minutes, farmers can add aeration to their bins, significantly improving airflow and therefore grain quality.  

Manhole Aeration is a perforated cylinder that can be easily installed in the hopper bottom’s manhole in a matter of minutes.  The cylinder is compatible with either Wavcor’s Airblast fan or it can be used with most other brands of fans on the market.  When paired with a 20 horsepower fan, it can deliver airflows of up to 3000 cfm.  It can be easily removed after installation to allow for bin access when needed.
